Meet Sarah
Sarah Michel founded SM Law to help individuals and families navigate important legal decisions with clear guidance and personal attention. An Ohio State Bar Association Certified Family Law Specialist, she has practiced law since 2011 and represents clients throughout Southwest Ohio in divorce, dissolution, child custody, child support, adoption, post-decree matters, and children services cases. She also handles estate planning, wills, trusts, and probate matters.
Born and raised in Mason, Sarah earned her bachelor's degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. She began her career with the Montgomery County Public Defender's Office before working in private practice. After returning to the Cincinnati area in 2018, she founded SM Law in 2025.
Sarah is admitted to practice in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a graduate of the Cincinnati Academy of Leadership for Lawyers and is active in several legal associations.
Outside work, Sarah serves on the Mason SAY Soccer Board and coaches youth soccer. She enjoys Cincinnati events, Ohio State and Bengals football, running the Flying Pig Half Marathon, and spending time with her nephew.
